Allsorts
is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 0930 to
1130 hours in potacabin near the Unit Welfare Office.
This is a unique group, it is a fun place for the children and a happy friendly environment for the parents. It always
has an activity going on plus lots of other things: Sticking, painting, drawing, cake making, ball pool, slide, carpeted area
for babies with gyms and rattles, baby chairs and lots more.

The
HIVE is situated in the Welfare Compound, in between the community centre and the welfare office. It is open
Monday to Friday from 0900 to 1400 hours. It has a free internet facility, along
with a host of information, from local schools to places to visit.

Abingdon
Station Youth Club is open on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 1830 – 2000 hours. The club offers a multitude of activities. It has a major
event annually “The Big Green Hamster” which sees teams from all over Britain competing in a wide range of activities, this event is an Inclusion event promoting teamwork between able and
non able body children. The youth club is situated in the Welfare Compound behind the Welfare Office.
It has recently had a facelift, and now has an information
area. Tuesday evenings are for 12 – 16 year olds, and Thursday evenings are for the 8 – 11 year olds.

The
Community Centre or ‘Comcen’ as it is affectionately known,is the focus for many locally organised
activities. It has a bar that is open every evening and lunch times on a Sunday, prices are very reasonable. There are a number
of organised events each month, these are advertised locally and in the ‘Drum Beat’. The Community centre can
be hired to host private functions.

The
Contact House is a married quarter situated on the Abingdon estate. It provides alternative accommodation
for soldiers separated from their children. It can also be booked for service personnel who have families visiting the area.
The house is fully furnished and has all the mod cons that you would require on a daily basis.

The
Unit Welfare Offices are located in this building. It
has an internet room, that is free to use during office hours. It also has an electronic fax bluey machine. The staff are
friendly and can help with most problems, so pop in and have a brew and a chat.

The Local DHE office is situated
within the welfare compound. The office is open from 0900 – 1600 hours Monday
to Friday, however is closed for lunch between 1200 – 1300 hours. If you require work to be completed on your married

Dalton's Drift is
owned by 4 Log Sp Regt RLC, and is moored in Abingdon. It can be used by all military personnel and their families.

Chatwell House is a community house
located in Grove. It has a fully enclosed rear garden, which is usually full of children's toy's. One of the Bedrooms
is used as a local information point (operated by the Abingdon HIVE), another of the bedrooms is used by the local health
visitor / midwife. The house is normally open Monday to Friday from 0830 to 1700.
